So very true, and as writers even though we want the feedback it can be incredibly difficult to hear. lol

I'll generally stay far away from providing feedback unless directly asked, but if you do ask be prepared for plenty of it.

My writing group has a running joke that "James will hate it". This is an exaggeration in that I'm not overtly mean, but I am very analytical and systematic.

Anytime I say the equivalent of "no notes" there's almost always dropped jaws and some disbelief.

It no doubt takes its own unique brand of trust to be built up to both give honest writing feedback and receive it.

Anyway, here's to those readers in our lives who love us to much to crush our souls! :D
